On March 13th, 2025, ENHANCE study team members gathered in Philadelphia to plan for a third year of groundbreaking delirium research. Just a few miles from the Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), home to two ENHANCE trial sites, the study team engaged in productive problem-solving informed by the range of skill sets and life experience in the room. In small groups throughout the day, patient and family stakeholders, health system and policy leaders, and clinical teams joined forces to strategize about one of the study’s top priorities: creating an accessible and meaningful experience for study participants. All attendees brought their personal encounters with delirium–whether firsthand, in their family, or in their clinical practice—to enrich these brainstorming sessions.
